Hi. Sorry I missed this earlier. purple stars seem to reflect (for me and some others at least) friends games that have stopped playing, people with bad connections, it doesn't seem to indicate an active player controlled game. You still get points I believe, my spouse went purple for a while. lol. But he was a very rare case of Purple coming back to life. (I think it was jealousy because now he's a little green. Ok, I'm sorry. It's Saturday night. His star coloring is now fine. ) But that is the only case I've seen with a purple no rating star reviving.
