husband/wife paying for dates??

I just recently updated the game and it said that your husband or wife can now pay for dates. I am guessing because of valentines day coming up soon. I was just wondering if anyone has figured out this feature yet and if they can tell me how to do it

I am curious too. So far I have gone on 30 dates since the update, and he has not paid for any yet.

I believe that this feature is random because when I go on dates on either one of my games my partner sometimes pay and sometimes doesn't even if 5 hearts was achieved on the previous date.
