I’m one of those fashion freaks. I love fashion. I breathe fashion. Passion, obsession – call it whatever you want. I’ve been in love with Balmain designs since the moment I knew anything about fashion. It has always been Coco and Balmain. Haute couture. France. Paris. L’amour.
Balmain became extremely popular among celebrities, runways, magazines around 2008 I think. And in my opinion it reached its high when Olivier became the head designer in 2011.

So the Balmain lover that I am, imagine my surprise when they announced the collaboration with H&M. To say I was over the moon is understatement of the year lol
Finally I can afford a piece from my favorite designer. Yes but no. I knew it would be hard, since I work from 9 to 6, and I can’t take a day off to camp outside H&M, but I was hoping that there would be at least something left. I’ve scored amazing pieces from previous collaborations after work! So on the release day, the first thing I did was to try to get a piece online. No server. Of course. I swear I counted minutes until 6PM. I left work running to H&M. And when I entered the store, I was shocked. Like I’ve never been in my life before. There was nothing left. Two clutches, one coat, and couple of bandeaus. And one GREEN dress. In size 42 (I wear 34/36). One of the H&M girls saw my expression and told me: “Everything sold out in 40 minutes, if it is of any consolation to you. You came for the GREEN dress, right?” and I was like “Yeah, the GREEN dress mostly.”
I left the store and dialed my bf and started crying like a baby lol and I am not ashamed to say it! I needed to cry out my frustration.
Over the next few days I tried to find the coveted GREEN dress, but no luck. So I let it go. And just said to myself: “One day, S, one day... just work hard.”

Here are Kat on the left, Z on the right, with 2 very different Balmain looks. All 3 have the purple dress Kat is wearing, but only Z picked up the Ensemble. love this Balmain.



(I changed some accessories on Z and changed the pic. It's very hard dressing Z, she is a 5 inch screen, so jewelry and tights are hard. Only when I see her in Kat's game, do I get the full image clearly. Yes, this is much better)

Here's Z in her other fave Purple in Balmain dress. But, 1st she grabbed the photo out of Kat's Album, and then she cut her out of the picture, except for 90%of a show a little leg and some hair. (Do you see why I say she aspires to be AppleP? Sigh. Sisters, Sisters)

I'd post one of my girls in that gown (after the purple, they branched out and shopped for themselves) so someone got it, but, it would be like being my game being the loser in Who Wore it Better. Amy steals the show with that sultry pout covered in classic Balmain. So, I'll sit that gown out. But, it is so much fun with the Free Disco hair. It would be perfect to wear to a party thrown by Warhol or something back in the day.

Ok, Let's find you some help. First off, you should find a free image hosting site. Photobucket is good for editing, but doesn't like my browser or something, that's Photobucket.com then there in easier one postimage.org You don't even have to sign up for that one. You check them out, and if you still need help, post again and I'll find some posts. That AREN"T photobucket, but you find a site, upload what you want, then you copy the Direct Link. Depending on the site you'll find it in different locations, but you want Direct Link. Then you come back here, and you either mouth over the invisible icons in the grey part of out text boxes...to the right of the Size arror, space, arrow..keep going right till you find Insert Image, and paste the Direct Link you copied for your picture. that's it. We'll wait and watch.

Blech. Too-flat hair; either wash it or use some mousse or root lifter, isabeau!

I can never get a good look with this black velvet. Plus it kinda rankles me how all the metal on the Balmain is silver; there's so little silver to buy, so too bad, here's gold! (I did request from Glu some purple, black, and silver evening bags. Hm, this Lieber *does* come in silver tho....)
