not receiving bonus star for party events

I was wondering if anyone else had noticed they weren't receiving a bonus star for the party event. Not sure if is a glitch or an intentional challenge for those who have the rewards!

I haven't tried today doing a modeling/acting/appearance gig so I'm not sure if it's for all types or specifically just the home parties.

Parties never give you a bonus star. You must complete all 5 stars for a party, And, if you're doing the event, regular modeling, acting, appearance etc gigs will NOT give you Event Points. Event Points are only given for the completion of 5 Star Parties. You will get event points for the weekend 'storyline' from Kim. Those tasks will be 6 hours long, and the waiting period is also 6 hours.

Aside from those 6 hour gigs, I wouldn't do any other gig work. Date your SO Once a day, Do the event gigs, and party. Put everything else on hold for the weekend. Hope this helps.
