I'm here to grind I guess. I like the mens bomber jacket - I want one for myself - but am unsure if I'm willing to spend on a box or should instead just focus in and hustle since it's the only thing that's my taste this weekend.
I bought one more Balmain item to get the 'free' gift box and was lucky enough to get the blue dress. Initially, in the preview, I thought there was something weird about it. Now that I've tried it on and styled it with a more chic up do, I really like it a lot.
Sorry to everyone having bad luck today. For the record, I haven't gotten any item at all (not a shoe, not an earring, nada) since the weird brown jumpsuit with a sheer skirt over it (which I hate). So I think I was due for some odds to go in my favor.
I don't know what to buy. I thought it would be a Balmain dress but once I tried it on and had to hit the buy button, there was just something that seemed weird to me. I need the casino and could buy that, but there is also a hair I've had my eye on as well. I'm hoping Maria calls me with a good deal, but until then I'll grind it out.

I had luck with my pallette today. My "free" box was the fuschia heels and the second box I opened was the blue gown. I was tempted to open a third but told myself there was no way it would also be an event item and reminded myself how many GC I wasted last weekend. So, I stopped! Good for me - it was energy. The other two items were in my pallette but I missed them.
Honestly the item I wanted most was the necklace but I'm not chasing it. (Don't chase it Holly, don't chase it!!!)

First of all, I'm absolutely so glad to see there are people who like the earnables and some of the GB items, at least someone enjoys it and I totally mean no disrespect, but do you remember when we gotthese on our VIP events? I mean, that's not too long ago, just a month! The last two VIP events were so simple in design, I wouldn't even want to buy them if they were in our closet. What's wrong? What happened? But yeah, no need to put effort on event items since there are Balmain + Judith Leiber sales are going on, right? And me, a professional sucker, I bought so many Balmain items in 0.2 seconds last weekend, and now I'm buying **** again and Judith Leiber sales haven't even started yet. I'm happy with the earnable bag but ****, I don't want those shoes, I want to delete them from my closet if I get them. I need a therapy. Chill, Gennie, chill girl, relax. I mean, this game was supposed to be fun, but day by day it's becoming stressing. Yeah, you gotta make money somewhere of course but, think about your players' mental health. I personally open my game after a long, tiring day of 6 hours of literature lecture and it's supposed to make me happy, when I'm on my way to home I look at my phone I must think, "hey, this is a nice outfit, I'd love to spend hours to grind for it!" but instead, I go like, "hell, ****ing again with these ridicilous items?" and I kill the app. Not nice. Not healthy.
So happy you got them, Judith! But come on, Glu, why would you put "once-were-daily-giftbox-items" into GB boxes that people spend k-stars (which people work so hard to save or spend actually money to get) on to open? Jesus Christ! I'm not even Christian!

Ok seriously the weekend storyline is another retread of a storyline we have done a few times before. ~another imposter~ It's getting ridiculous.
I'm supposed to be the biggest star in Hollywood, international super model, actress, mogul. Why does this random designer in Paris not know what I look like? And at this point, why can't I have the option of dignity to WALK AWAY from people who don't recognize me and treat me like garbage?
If you don't do the weekend storyline, is it still sitting there on Monday or does it go away? I have been playing since day one but I have never blown off a story.
The premise of the storyline seems weird. If you're famous, people could just look up your picture on the internet and easily see what you look like and if you were even at an event in the first place.
Make a favor to yourselves and don't waste the energy on these gigs during VIPs. There's no harm if you don't play these gigs, as soon the event ends the storyline 'expire' and you'll have to complete just the first gig or at the point where you stopped to progress on the story.
The gig will be 'empty' and after you clean it, ends there.
The weekend gigs aren't canon, so that's why the stories sometimes doesn't make sense or go according to our status. Also they tend to take place on locations where all players have access independently of their level.

I'm not crazy about the SMC...when I saw the spoilers I was convinced I'd be suuuuuper into the hair because I love really long styles. But then I saw it on my doll and it just looked...stringy? Or unwashed? Maybe it's just too witchy in black haha. The dress is cute but nothing super stylish/exciting. I guess it depends what you need in your closet

Starting the weekend storyline I was less than impressed with what felt like microwaved leftovers for a story. But I was bored with doing 3 hour reality gigs in Calabasas, so I went for it. And in the 2nd gig, something interesting happened. I confronted my doppelganger and she proposed we'd get back at the angry lady from gig #1, giving me cash and a piece of clothing in return.
It feels a bit too good to be true. I'm sure there's a catch. Plus, if I reveal my doppelganger's true identity, she threatens me with wrath. What do you all think? Has anyone played the 3rd storyline yet?

But not only Alexandra gave me 3 kstars and kash, Maria called afterwards and I got another 3 kstars and kash!!
So it was definitely worth it! And fun!

I did the second gig after seeing that it might involve a clothing item. I'm almost positive by the wording that that was misconstrued and she was just offering to hook you up with something to sell at So Chic, which would be a phantom item we never get ourselves.
Seeing how these things play out most of the time, I think she's a liar and will either get is nothing or some knock-off that loses us fans.
After choosing the moral option, she basically says her plan incorporated HER modeling in our place, pretending to be us. That can't have a good result in my eyes.
Dixie had the thigh high snake skin Balmain boots on and we were looking for a shirt. I accidentally tapped this "top" (which is a full outfit but in the shirt closet). I then noticed Dixie was now in an ankle high version of the Balmain boots.
Gambled away 70k hoping for some k-stars. The result was.... a disaster. Not one star. #gamblingisbad
I have a question though. What does that Xs do for the game? Does it mean more luck/odds? Or does it just close one spot so the cost drops? Do we have a casino thread?
