Has anyone purposely restarted their game??

Am getting a bit bored with the Kim k game and wondering if I restarted it, would I lose all the clothes/stars that I have collected over the game?? Has anyone done this?!?

If you delete your date, and restart your game, you restart. from the beginning. You lose everything and you start from scratch. Kim will walk into So Chic and ask for help. You will buy everything again, and earn everything again. I take it you have done the comebacks? In those, when you are number 1, you can take a comeback where you lose all your fans, and have to climb the climb again but you keep your cash, your stars, your Level, your possessions your stars...but you have no fans and plummett down in rank to the very bottom. If you haven't done those, you can try that, plus you get a great comeback exclusive outfit.

I’ve done it quite frequently simply because I have spent so much money over the years buying k-stars. I enjoy reinventing my doll. When you do a restart you lose all progress and anything you’ve won. However any K-Stars you have purchased (not the ones you earned) are returned to you as well as any cash you have purchased and all of the special purchases for Kim’s Shop My Closets. I have spent enough that it makes it worth it. There is also a risk that something will glitch and “restore special purchases” will restore absolutely nothing. When that happens it is a very tedious process to get your items back. Basically unless you have spent a lot of real money on this game then I wouldn’t recommend a restart.

I have to qualify the blanket statement that all special purchases are restored, period. When your game must be restarted due to tech error, that's a very much accurate statement. However each case is looked at on a case by case basis, and Glu has the final word. Some players abuse the system, and I have heard about some players who have been advised, that 'this is the last accommodation' or that they could not get all restored they were looking for.
You can take your replenished purchased stars, but you can't get back the weekly event prizes, For example, your weekly prizes from the events can't be restored, you can only hope to win them again in a TB, or try to buy them in a TB sale, but you can't just turn around and buy and of the event prizes. You can pretty much get your Stars back, but you can not get back the items you won. The weekly GB items you won, the earners you won....gone.

Ooh so how do you do a comeback?? I am apparently no 1 in rankings so can get no more fans. Currently I just annoy my “husband” so that he breaks up with me and I can find another suitor for a bit of variety.lol

Ooh thanks for the info! I have spent quite a bit but not sure if it would be worth me restarting

When you reach number 1, you should get a pop up asking if you'd like to take a comeback. Hang on I'll try to find more info for you.

OH! Yes i’ve done that several times but now I don’t get that option anymore

Once you reach A+++ status that means you've done all the comebacks. There's only 3 of them.

Have you completed all the achievements for the different reality show locations? I know it's not the most exciting but just trying to throw ideas out there. I get where you're coming from... sometimes the game can get rather stale. What about businesses?

Yeah that is a good idea as haven’t completed all. Have got all the possible businesses..hairdressers, vineyard, perfumery, casino, hotel..think i’ve bought all the possible ones? Thank you for the ideas though

What about a second device you can download the game to? I tried it... didn't work for me lol. The idea of starting over sounds great in theory but when I actually tried it in a second game it was awful. But if you have a tablet or a second phone to spare, worth a shot!

I thought I was clear that by special purchases I meant items that qualify to be returned by the “restore special purchase” button. I have 18 which are SMCs, a special Khloe package, and the contour kit. Obviously you don’t get back items won in the game and it clearly states that twice before you are allowed to restart. I have never needed Glu for help with anything other than a glitch with my K-Star restoration which they have complied with because I have always kept up with my receipts. In no way is that abusing the system given the amount I have spent on this game. I am the only one who benefits from my game and I still continue to spend especially for SMCs or other in-game deals.

I think you took my post personally. No. . I've seen it go wrong, not so in your case. Congrats.
Perhaps you weren’t aware that Only iOS has that special restore button. All other platforms Go through that tedious restore process with customer care. And I was not responding for you. You’ve done it a dozen times and have never had a problem. Mazel. I was reminding someone contemplating it for the first time of all the ramifications. So yeah I’m gonna remind the start-over-contemplaters (even though you know) that when they start a new game they aren’t going to get their weekend items back.
a member asked for opinions, I answered with my personal opinion, you posted It was as simple as hitting a button to get all your special purchases restored , and I came back basically agreeing in theory but saying no situation is 100% guaranteed, and in considering the restart as a whole.....it’s more than just restored stars. I was never saying you weren’t right about what happened to you, but we weren’t talking about your game. If something more is bothering you, please send me a dm. I wasn’t questioning your results.

But if someone doesn’t understand, and starts over and freaks out that their so glam lips are gone, you aren’t the one whose inbox will flood with tearful cries of ‘Help me’. That will be mine, and that’s why I spell it all out, & give qualifiers when necessary.
