Sound issues

Everytime I turn off the sound in the game the app just crashes, I can still hear the music but I can't touch anything or go back. 
Does anyone know what causes this and how I can fix this? 
I don't know if this has been asked before or not, but I can't find an answer to my problem.

I have never heard this problem before.   Is the sound fine on all your other apps?  You should probably send a ticket to customer care.  Go to the top left corner of your game screen, tap the 3 lines for options. Then tap  help, then tap Glu support and explain your issue.   Good luck.
