Did not get rewards for award host SYS

I woke up this morning to find the next Show Your Style has started (thrifty chic) and that I have not recieved the rewards for the one that finished overnight while I was asleep (award host SYS). I am in Australia and went to bed just after midnight.
I feel so disappointed. I was in the top 5 when I went to bed with 1.5hours to go but just couldn't keep my eyes open to stay up any longer and I have to work this morning so needed sleep. I don't think that should matter and I should still have been able to get my rewards once I opened the app.
This is the second time it has happened to me. I'm so disappointed in how glitchy this game is becoming. I have emailed support but hoping someone might have advice or their own story in the meantime.
