Not getting side-gig calls?

Hi guys,
Restarted after a few months break with a new game.
Not very far through but I've noticed I'm not getting calls from Simon, not once for side-gigs and rarely for the questline gigs.
I visited his office and he gave me a load of questline gigs, had exclamation mark after exclamation mark above his head
so that was OK but again no side-gigs?
I seem to be getting calls as normal from Maria, Kim etc. It's just the lack of side-gigs bothering me. Has anyone else experienced this?
