Challenge in Headhunter missions

How do you do the challenge option after you complete the Headhunter mission? It says you have to select a friend, but how do you add friends?

It shows me my friends on the Game Center, but I don't see a way in Heroes of Destiny to add more. You can do it through the game center app itself.
