Best way to get 4+* starting pitchers

Just wondering what the best way to get good starting pitcher's (4 stars and better) should I go for 1st rounders or #1 picks?

#1 picks are your best bet. Gets rid of 2-3 star players. Never got a 5 star pitcher from 1st round. Maybe rarely a 4.5. But best bet is #1. Good luck.

What do u mean by get rid of 2-3 star players?

They're eliminated from the Draft Pool, where as with a first rounder you are still fairly likely to get a 2, 2.5* player

I've done fairly well getting my 4 star rotation from First Rounders. I've thrown away a couple 4s from 2nd round as well.

I know that if I keep my unwanted second draft picks I can after about ten players turn then into a 1st rounder. But I would really want a #1 pick. Does the same thing happen if I stick with more unwanted players? If yes, how many players does it take to trade to a #1 pick?
