...can I then _not_ acquire that player via draft? Or, if I have Manny Machado on my roster as a Franchise Player, would Daniel Murphy then replace Machado for me in Fan Rewards?

Really not sure. Wondered that when I franchised Buster. Worried I couldn't draft him. Pretty sure I saw his name in the wheel. So my best guess is yes he can still be drafted even if franchised. He does not show up on your roster, so in play.

The franchise player will disappear when you draft the same player and the franchise coins will not be returned.
