Do we have to do exotics?

I have an update to what I was trying to say in the previous post.

When I go to the map page it says I have to kill - Impaler, Sledge, Ancile, Goliath & Cronus. I've completed all the rifle, AR, bow and trophy hunts. All the rest of the levels, by the time I've done all these I've shot all these guys. Are these guys hidden in the contract hunts somewhere? Or do I really have to buy exotic guns or Event guns?
