Unable to swap franchise player

I recently added a 1B by using my franchise player coin.

When I go to my team and attempt to SWAP the existing 1B, my new franchise player isn't listed as an option. In fact, no players are listed as an option. That new franchise player doesn't show up as a swap option for any of my players.

How do I go about substituting my existing 1B with my new franchise player?

Thanks for the assist. This seemingly simple task is driving me nuts.

The franchise player will automatically go on your team when you start a game and sit your current 1B. He doesn't show up as a swap option because he is not on your roster and your only using him for 5 games.

Thanks Remmy - I wouldn't have guessed the game would know when I'd want that player in there as soon as my franchise player joined the team.
