Got Trout Now what?

I understand that the collections have replaced daily rewards. But now that we have Trout we're waiting 7 days until the next available reward? Shouldn't there be something in between or is getting Trout reward enough?

We still get a daily reward. There just isn't another player to collect until the next one is released

I wasted a lot of gold and didn't get him. After he's played some games, what are his stats like ?

For me he's got 768 AB, .449 AVG, 3.5 AB/HR.
Spent about 15k on him, but I wanted to spend 20k to get Holliday anyway so it worked out
