Upgrade Sale During Fan Rewards

Does any know what happened with this, I though upgrades sales used to run during fan rewards, but this hasn't been the case recently. I thought I read that it will happen once a month. I know it hasn't happened at least the last 3 times, does mean it will run this week. I finally have enough gold to get tier 6 player but want to get the max bang for my buck and get the upgrades on sale.
