You can use your Franchise Coins to get a player for either bonus or to bolster your roster to help with wins and you can use them in bonus games, sprint games, prime games, match up games etc.
Why not allow you to use the Franchise Players in Walk Off Hero? Maybe a Franchise player is that team bonus that week... or maybe that hitter improves your ability to get passed a level or round you had trouble with...
They offer Slugfest Event Busters on Wednesdays, how about this for Walk Off Hero on Mondays? Charge 100 or 200 gold to be able to use the Franchise Player as an Event Buster for Walk Off Hero or something.
