Season mode glitching

So i just faced a 4.5 star Charlie Morton and at platinum 10 he was 279, that’s about equal to a 360 overall.im at the playoffs for the last level of platinum should I purposely lose them cause I went from a 90 win season to to a little better than 500. I have no plans of diamond level, just wondering if I should close out the playoffs and purposely lose
