What's up with the stutter in game

Not only am I having issues where my hitting just leaves. As in 1 game I am crushing ball and lose next game because all my hitters can't get out of infield in 9 innings. When I do get ahead the game starts stuttering, or pausing during the pitch which makes it hard to hit. Is anyone else having these problems. New to the game and trying to figure out

I get this once in awhile. Restarting my phone always fixes it.

It happens to me whenever there are other app updates running in the background.

Do y'all no what the deal with the hitting issue is for. Like I said it only happens in season mode. 1 team I am crushing ball with my souped up team and then it's like all 9 guys forgets how to hit. I'm good at watching bball and only swinging at strikes, mostly fastball, however that doesn't matter. An I missing something guys. Please let me no
