Players of month bonus?

Does anyone know if the players of the month are ever going to be a bonus player? I have two of them but don’t know if they are ever going to be an advantage in an event.

I had a maxed out lowe and was disappointed in his performance. But my maxed out castillo killed it. Geeting 800k a game with him. I was lucky if i got 75k a game with lowe.
