Feel free to ask me anything about the game for the new players.
Few notes:
when you get to MVP rank you will start to need start to win 3 out 5 playoff games
when you get to legends playoffs, the pitchers are almost all 4.5 to 5 stars, yu devirish was one
When you choose steal, the pitcher either throws a really obvious ball or a straight strike down the pipe, if you notice him throwing right down the pipe, for sure its gonna be an easy to hit ball but that doesn't mean it's going to land somewhere good though
Doesn't really matter when you steal if your speed is 5 or 9, its just depends on the other guys arm upgrade to get caught. Also I dont ever remember getting caught on my first steal of each inning.
Hitting the ball really depends on the pitcher, some throw alot of ***** and some throw alot of strikes. I forgot which pitcher, but there were definitely a few that i've played that threw strikes every other pitch and it was easy to hit on them.
Energy bars only refill the pitcher for one stinking inning, a waste really
Sometimes getting a lead of 2 runs is better than 3, because autoplay takes effect after 3 run lead and autoplay can screw your lead up easily sometimes. Whereas 2 runs they actually have to earn it.
Theres usually no point in stealing to third base if you have 2 outs.
Spend your money on upgrades first because you can get draft picks from wins.
Playing lower or higher rank players does not count for playoffs, so don't waste your time playing people out of your division if you want to advance rank quickly.
Better not to bunt a run in even though you have 9 bunt.
Sometimes when your batters are hot, they are hot. I've had times where only a certain batter would always hit and then they would totally stink for a good awhile.
I put more in when I remember it, but overall it is a fun game. Challenging watching the pitches, even playing so long I still fall for the sinkers.
