Haven't passed 5.8 yet but seeing that Diaz is POTM again I am guessing him and Neris or Maybe Hamels?
POTM Diaz is 5.9 Kershaw is 5.10
Got to 5-10. It is Diaz 5-9 RHP and Signature Kershaw LHP is 5-10. Lost twice. But now I know.
Stuck on Kershaw...Couldn’t beat with legend Mick. Get 4 runs and then all ridiculous pitches.
Kershaw is so brutal. Took a ton of gold last week, not sure I have it in me again this week.
Diaz is actually the May POTM version so we better get past him fast before they realize and change it to the new one with the boost. Got through him the 1st time with all fastballs.

Took two attempts to beat Diaz even at his lower rate and the lower rating explains why Yelich hit a slider for a home run that tied the game and pushed it into extras, took 3 restarts to beat Kershaw despite the fact he was 60+ points higher than Diaz he threw much more hitable pitches and was able to finish with 10% boost. Now have a decision to make once I get Goldy leveled between him, Gennett, and Freeman as to which two I’ll start and who gets bumped to a sub role.
Kershaw is killing me as the few fast balls he's thrown me so far ain't so fast, so predictably it's 3 up 3 down....just like last week. Yelich not helping in this case, so will try bregman
No luck with Banks myself on Kershaw so I'm going to try Chapman instead.
Go figure. 10 tries with Banks and couldn't get through. 1st try with Chapman and I cycle it with just one out.
Diaz continues to haunt me. Gotten to him twice and used two restarts. All four times I got fastball first pitch for a home run, then sliders and one or two off the plate fastballs after. He's so low though (250 in platinum) I haven't lost hope yet, my top two hitters are (post-boost) 100 points higher than him. I just want to beat him once =[
I beat Kershaw the first time pretty easily with Mays, the second time around has been quite different. Lots of pop ups and squibs off the bat against Kershaw. After 1500 gold I gave up.
Anyone else hear that the pitchers have been changed after an app restart? When I beat it early the POMs were not boosted. I heard the line up has changed but cant confirm who it is. Anyone else?

I just went through 10 minutes ago and 5.9 was still July Diaz.
It makes sense it would change though as I am sure they wouldn't give us July POTM Diaz and they have probably fixed it now. Glad I already went through and don't have to deal with him again.
Ok thanks, @houmy. Did you manage to beat it? I imagine they will change it very soon. Did you restart your app since the event started?

5.9 is now Snell. I didn't realize they changed the people, I've been using Edmonds to beat Diaz and trying a boosted Prime Altuve for Kershaw. Got to 5.9 and now have a lefty vs lefty, not good.
@dkarski87 I did cycle when it was still Diaz & Kershaw and restarted now but I am still on level 1. As @4orty4orty mentioned they did catch on and changed the pitchers already so 5.10 will probably be August POTM Diaz now or if we are lucky POTM Hamels.

Same here, working the cycle but wont be wasting gold on cycle 2 as goldy has a poor bonus and AS freeman is solid at 1b. Obviously they used goldy cause chances are the dbacks wont make the post season. Guess it was asking too much to get lindor or molina as a prize, ;)

Cracked it but I think it was like 6 or 7 retries on Kershaw with POTM Turner, with the RISP skill boosted to 8/20. I paid for the 20% boost a number of those times too. Factor in the 3 times it took me to beat Diaz, and it was pretty pricy when I already have Hosmer Prime capped at Gold 10. Can't afford to do that again any time soon....
Really enjoy not getting enough pitches to score more than 2 runs. It's really frustrating when no amount of skill can hit a pitch.
Just had my best shot at Kershaw... scored 3 had 2 on with 2 out. Got a straight ball and.... ground out to first. Game over. FML.

5-8 Verlander has been shutting down Prime Betts with Late Inning skill boost to 13%
Sigh....
I am just waiting on all the angry "the event was easier in the morning versus afternoon" posts.
