Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Raced apex pirate 203. Crushed him in race, says invalid tie. Can an admin look into this? Happened to other players in lobby also against same guy.

So technically the Tie issue wasn't a hack. It was a check that should have resulted in a DNF, instead was registering as a DQ or tie. We fixed that.

Tie can and will occur. While DNFs are caused by connection issues (intentional or out of a player's control) DQs/Disqualifications occur due to one of the players having a data mismatch, meaning what our records show does not match what the device shows. These result in a Tie. These used to be disqualifications, but due to player comments we changed them so that it would not result in a loss, but rather it is treated as if the race never happened.

In this case, the player reported is having issues with this data not matching ours.

Hmmm. Well I know he was "tie" against multiple people. Only on pinks races. So I guess he has great luck for timing. Didn't cost me anything but thought I should at least put it out there.

It's possible he's doing it on purpose, which is why we have a system to check. A few months ago these would result in a loss for the player. But looked like a lot of people who received DQs claimed that it wasn't them, and at the time we didn't know how to weed out the false positives so we changed it so that the race never takes place by player request.

Outside of time wasted racing, you should not lose or gain anything or incur engine damage.
