Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Test Track

I saw on another post that CIE was talking about doing a test track. I had an idea i figured i throw at you guys. I think it would be neat if you had a test track that we as players could use, where we could rent any car and configure it any way we wanted (at no additional charge) to get the best configurations, and we could work on our launch technique. Basically a place where we could perfect each car. Oh and use the track for however long we rented the car for, and we only race the clock, so no one wins/loses anything.

I just want a test track where I can practice my launch and where I can't test my car after I add/remove parts from my car.

And a track where there's no engine stress so that you won't have to wait or use gems to fix the car since it's just a test track. Another suggestion is ghost racing, where you can battle your best time and try to improve it or atleast the best time recorded in game for a certain car. So that you'll be seeing another car to make it more challenging.

Or just make it to where the bots show up in every room you're in. If they would do that, you could just race them. Works just as a test track that you can race against. You just get engine damage, but you do win SC when you win. They're not very difficult to race. It would work the same as having an actual test track, but they're only in the rooms when it's not busy.
