Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Suggestion: Make unsupported trading more reliable

I've been lurking around the forum for a while now, mostly for tunes and occasionally car trades. What I've noticed is that there is no definite or organized way to trade cars within the community even though it is unsupported, so I thought I might share some experience I've from my fair share of underground game trading..Bear with me I'm typing this from a phone so it might be a little messy.. 1.Middleman I'm sure some of you are aware of what a middleman is and for those of you who aren't, let me explain, a middleman makes sure that the transaction between party A and party B go smooth..How? You may ask, well it's fairly easy. In a case where racer X does not trust racer Y and they want to trade let's say a McLaren for 500k, no one wants to go first so what they do is, hire a middleman.. The middleman will take the money from racer X and the car from racer Y and then give money to y and cash to x, there, trade done, no hassle, no risks of being scammed.(The middleman may charge a fees if needed) But another question may arise, who can become a middleman? Well someone who is well known and has alot of vouches can be trusted as a middleman.. 2.Vouches Another thing that I've learn from my experience with online p2p games. Vouch is basically a transcript for example, if I buy a car from someone, I will vouch him, saying that he is a trusted seller and he may vouch me saying I'm trusted buyer. Vouch can be a post on the trade topic which will be used as a signature with quotations enclosed. I would show an example but I'm using a phone so can't :/ Person with alot of GENUINE vouches would be a trusted trader obviously and you won't require a middleman. Anyways, I hope I might have opened up ideas to make this car dealing thing more reliable, I hope the RR staff takes this into consideration..

They need to just put a Used Car Lot into the game.

I have addressed this issue with a Sticky post in the Buy/Sell/Trade section. I will tweak and refine it for multiple scenarios and more tips as we go along.
