Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Evo VIII 6 speed Transmission

The Evo VIII could be purchased with either a 5 or 6 speed transmission.

Surely if someone were going to race one they would opt for the 6 speed.

It's a bit irritating to lose races solely because the car hits the limiter in 5th gear before it gets to the finish line.

I'd like to see the transmission changed to a 6 speed, maybe just the pro levels so stock, stage 1 and stage 2 would all be 5 speed but Pro 1, 2 and 3 would all be 6 speed.

Like i said I have a fully tuned Evo VIII that consistently gets put into lobbies with cars that only beat it because it hits the limiter before the end of the race, you top out and they continue to accelerate.

So 2 solutions there either adjust the lobby system or add the extra gear and I'm pretty sure the extra gear is easier.

Trans only have 1 pro. I agree with you. Even the charger and challenger have 6 speed

btw in showroom you can purchase a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR. MR. in the end - MR. you can see this "MR" logo on the trunk.
the fact about Evo8 MR. MR means 6sp trans (evo8 without MR - 5sp). so this car should be with 6sp trans. also evo8 with 6sp gonna be A class car. somewhere around 1664-1665 max rating.
so this is another mismatch in this game from our devs.
I dont know who is responsable for car's specs, but this guy is not qualified well.
I know a lot of mismatchs. or example: skyline r33 has 7000rpm. WHAT??? its 8000rpm, the same as r34's engine. thats why r33 is so slow in this game. If devs will fix r33 to proper 8000rpm, this skyline gonna be 1662 at least.
another example: in this game r34 has only 205tq in stock. WHAT? WHAT? its 293tq in stock r34 in reality.
I can go on and on...
