Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

How to stop hackers?

I'm concerned about loosing everything through someone hacking into my account and just wandered if there was a way of protecting against it? For instance I've read that ppl are hacking through Facebook or Google. Is there anyway that you can take off the link to invite Facebook once you've clicked on it if that's the issue. I find it strange that you can't unclick them to be honest. The main thing is how do you protect your account against hacking as we ve all invested a lot of time and a lot of money in this game. What are the options? How do you know you've been hacked and how can you track these hackers down? If these hackers are found to be doing this and stealing ppls cars and gems can they be permanently be banned from the game? That only seems fair. I'm just wandering what everyone thoughts are so we can crackdown on this. If it is true I find it annoying and frustrating. Is there any way of making the site more secure so that only you have access to your accounts and if they are trying to hack can a system be put in place that alerts RR if that happens so you can track them more easily? This is just my opinion. What do you think?

Just found out you can unlink your account on Facebook using your computer so if they are trying to get in this way hopefully it will make it a bit harder lol

Only way to be safe is to not link your FB or Google to your account and hopefully nothing crashes your device. I have tracked them down and CIE/GLU will do nothing about it. It's your fault is what they will say. RR is a dying game. They are losing the loyal racers because they will NOT do anything about these hackers. I have began to think like a lot of others and think the developers are doing the hacking. It's sad when the hacker PMs you saying thanks for the cars. That just goes to show you that they are not worried about CIE/GLU doing anything to them. I just read a supposedly banned player hacked someone's account. All they had to say is put a ticket in. This game is becoming a nightmare and will eventually lose all its people!
