Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Opponent has timed out. The race was cancelled = me losing $25k, what the???

Sequence of events: I challenge opponent, opponent wagers certain amount, I raise to 25k, the clock runs down, when clock runs out a message appears saying the opponent has timed out, the race is cancelled. I look up at my money and notice what I bet is gone. This is all on my side, so on the opponents side, according to him, as I raised to 25k he received the orange bar indicator that pops up notifying you live racing not available due to slow connection, there was nothing he could do as all the controls got grayed out. He also got the race cancelled message however, he got the 25k plus he got the street credit as if he actually raced and won. Admin please look into this issue, I'm not too worried in this case because the guy agreed to pay me back, fingers crossed. But it would probably throw me into a temper tantrum if it happened with someone that would just take the money and run, and I'm sure it will happen to somebody else at some point in time, and more likely than not that unfortunate person will have to experience the same frustration and want to point the finger at somebody. I don't know if this is a glitch, but if the circumstances can be replicated, it would be easy pickings for whoever does. Without saying it directly, I'm pretty sure if something got unplugged, there would be a network timeout, and if a network timeout cancels a race, and if there was money being bet during that race, and if the timeout occurs coincidentally after a particular person raises the bet, well....... Ouch. See what I'm saying?
