Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Why doesn't the public lobbies work like the turf lobbies

I see new guys all the time getting scammed and cheated, by the lowlifes jumping in 5 to 6 rooms down. I admit i lost a car against a McLaren, at least 5 lobbies below where he should have been. This was when i started out, I'm a lvl 117 (Over and over and over, Thank you Devs) now.

I know there is an exploit, where you can jump to a friends lobby, in the public racing. Why can't there be limits, to what can be allowed to enter? Not worried about myself, I never bet money or pink outside of the turf, expressly for this reason. But your future coiners (customers) get a bad experience, Word of mouth and internet chatter, will keep people away

Don't... Just don't ask those questions... Basically the devs are a bunch of knobs that don't care about the customers, but the rectangular green things that give them the power. As for willing people away... Doubt it... Some people have gone, decent people, but people won't give up on this game, cus it's all about the community... Or what's left of it. Anyways, if you want fair lobbies just do turf wars or racer showdown, it's the only fair way to race unfortunately. The problem we got is that, if we can't lobby jump then we have in no way (or very limited/difficult) ways to trade with each other... Kinda a catch 22 really

Having to accept people as friends would cut down on some of the jumping. I got people everyday showing up I my friends list and have seen some follow me around. Bastards
