Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

HALT ALL PINK RACING IN MULTIPLAYER LOBBIES!!!!

There is a new hack taking place right now in multiplayer lobbies where many people have lost their cars during a pink race. The hack causes your game to timeout and restart before the race starts and when your game reloads, your car is gone. Until this hack is fixed by Glu, my suggestion is to stop all pink races in the multiplayer lobbies.

Here's the scenario that many have described here in the past week or so:

1. Their lobby contains one or more cars that are obviously much slower than the lobby's rating,
2. The player gets greedy and wants to pink race this much slower car,
3. The hacker accepts,
4. The pink race never happens because your game times out and forces a restart,
5. Once the game is reloaded, your car is gone.

The hack is clearly taking advantage of people who will pink race much slower cars (rampant behavior for lobby jumpers). For now, the hackers are using very slow cars to entice the racers to pink, but that trick can change very quickly so there's no guarantee you won't be a victim of a more evenly matched race.

I suggest all pink racing come to a halt immediately by all players until Glu fixes this most recent hack.
