Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

I see a lot of people talking about TUNES for their cars. By tune do they mean changing parts installed or is there a way to actually TUNE the car and make adjustments?

i remember back when playing Nitto.. you could actually Tune certain parts of the car for more or less torque and gas pump at certain parts of the race.. but i dont think RR have that option.. i think what they mean is just parts installed..

which seems kind stupid to pay for.. rofl.. RR seems like a pretty straight forward game.. a lot simpler and easier than how Nitto was.. as far as i can tell..

but then again i just started playing this a week ago, while looking for Nitto again.. lol

Tune means installing the best part to get the rating u need. Tune is important to determine the car rating. Car rating determine which lobby you will be racing. Lobby will be divided by the car rating. For example: 1650 - 1655. So it is best to have a car rating 1655 in that lobby so u have higher chance to win the race.

Each person have diff tunes but the rating is the same. So there is lot of version for tunes just need to find the one that gives the best time. You can try to do it yourself as well. A lot trial and error. I bought a few tunes then i tweaked it here and there to try.

Thanks for the replies guys. I did not think you could make adjustments to the parts like a real tuner would. I figured it had something to do with what parts are installed.
