Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Suggest: A cheap car for newbies wanting to recover from scammers

I suggest adding a cheap D-class car that is utterly useless for racing.

The purpose is to have a second car to use for pinking trades. That way if you lose it to a scammer, no big deal.

For newbies trying to get new cars after being scammed and only having one car left, a huge hurdle to recovery is getting enough money for a second car so someone else can help them.

Right now, the only option is saving 19K RRC to get a Toyota Corolla GT-R since the Datsun (16K) was vaulted. To newbies, that's a huge amount of money. $19K divided by $300 per race (maybe more if you get shifts and launch right) for racing a class D = huge amount of time. That's 63 races that must be won.

This is why many people give up on the game early on. You see a lot of 1 car accounts.

Something like 1K price, can't be sold back to the system, and rated like 1500, totally useless for racing (30 second time for racing). Available in the showroom and never going to be vaulted.

Another benefit of this is that this is an effective tool against scammers who will get stuck with a car that is useless to them. Poetic justice/

I think that was what the bmw launch car was for. Trade in value to the game, $1 rrc. But you cant repurchase it once its gone.

That's a one time thing. Newbies today can't get that car.
