Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Global Chat Disable Option.....?

In my opinion, I personally feel the Global Chat was the dumbest idea. It seems to be a bunch off dumb kids talking out their 3rd point of contact. Weather it be to smack talk or try to hook up with girls.........REALLY? For those of you that wanted it and like it , Great! I personally have no use for it, I'm too old and have been playing this game far too long to care about the "Keyboard Idiots" out there. It is real annoying when talking to your friends or team mates and every time there is a message icon that appears, it's for some dumb crap on Global, not just the people you want to talk to.

Is it at all possible to get the option in the "Settings" to disable/ turn off the Global Chat?

    As said in the other post, we're looking into adding this option in a future update.

    Nice that the "Global Chat Activity" option is available to disable a message alert, but I was talking more to the fact of actually being able to disable the Global Chat in general. So it's like it's not even there; won't even see the conversation at all.

    Any luck with getting this option? Thank you!

    We are not going to allow you to completely disable global chat. You can disable the notification and just never go in there if you don't want to participate.

    Even with it being disabled it still does send me there when I get a message notification (from a friend or team chat) that I click on. So I'm not sure where the problem lies there....? Is there a reason for not "allowing" us to disable it? Just curious, it is a option in another game I play and honestly it made the game more enjoyable. There are 3 rooms there and as a player you have the ability to completely disable all of them if you want.
