Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Shipyard Crashing on iOS

Hey all!

If you are experiencing crashing on your iOS device, we suggest you update your device to iOS 10 or above.

If you have upgraded your iOS to 10 or higher and are still experiencing the issue, please let us know your racer name, device and OS version.

    What about those of us who do not want to upgrade to IOS 10? Are we out of luck? Reason I ask is because I'm on 9.3.1. I've upgraded another phone to IOS 10, and I'm not a fan. However, if this is the ONLY way to resolve the shipyard crashing (which worked perfectly prior to this update), please advise and I'll consider upgrading / updating.

    Well, the issue is with how anything below 9.3.2 works with something concerning Unity. Something that is fixed in the 9.3.3 and above OS's.

    I think we're trying to find a workaround for that, but essentially. older iOS versions weren't playing nice with Unity for certain things and that was fixed in iOS 9.3.3 and above.

    I'll post this here as well incase anyone else runs into this issue. I updated to IOS 10. Shipyard worked / works perfectly. However, when I launched the game, I kept getting the error that it couldn't establish a connection with the server. I would tap "retry", and the error would come up again about 10 seconds later. This happened on both WIFI and Cell Signal. So, I deleted and reinstalled the game, and now all is well. (Well, except for the fact that a trouble ticket I had open with customer service is now gone from my "?" section, so if they respond, hopefully the conversation will show back up).

    So, if anyone else updates and runs into the "can't connect to our server" issue, delete and reinstall the game on your device. (Make sure you are synced with FB or Gamecenter before you delete the game!!!).

    You need to open a ticket with CS for this, posting here will do nothing to move the investigation they'll need to do forward.

    I'm experiencing it freeze when I start to race and then it will count it as a lose.
