Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Good. So what does glu do with these frauds who buy gems and then file chargeback? Nothing!!
Wow!!! They just walk away without any fight from glu and get things for free?
Who is the financial in charge there? I would love to congratulate him for being the biggest idiot!!
The more I research on glu, the more inclined I get to write a case on Racing Rivals and submit it to Harvard lol.
You guys need a serious revamp or you are going down with the "great" devs and equally "great" customers.
Will glu survive? Would they be able to redefine everything and become profitable again? Well. Time will tell....

When you purchase something, you pay Apple/Google. They in turn let us know the transaction was completed and let us know to give the package that was purchased and we get paid. When you charge back... you are taking from Apple/Google. Most we can do is let them know players look like they may be abusing their systems, which we have done.
We have our ways of dealing with abusive Chargebacks. In fact we ban several accounts each week, but we have to query Google/Apple since it's their payment system. We aren't alerted per se, but we do check every week.

If it was me, I would rather take off the things they earned using the gems rather than banning them if they chargeback. This would keep them in game for future purchases rather than making them leave completely. but yeah I would certainly not let people run off with thousands of $$ by defrauding this system.

Play the game the way it was meant to be played. Enjoy it.
If they would fix the lag and other issues, I can start playing again.
FYI, Have not spent any real money, no hacks or cheats and I have plenty of gems and cash. Just playing the game the way it was meant to be played.
