Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

Ok so I tuned half my cars to the track just below the maxed d class (1644) and for the past 6 hours there's only been 5-8 ppl in there. I can't change tracks cuz it just takes me back to same one. Now I know there is hundreds of ppl racing at that rating. WHY can't I join other ppl. It's getting old real fast.

    There doesn't seem to be but a few racing there every time I've went in. There are more in 36 and 40 lobbies and they are active

    Everytime I try to join a lobby with my 1650 and 1649 Focus's I'm the only one in there. It won't let me refresh and join another track.

    Your 1650 may be slightly above threshold for a1649 lobby, it's a very fine line . The 49 you may just have to hit change lobby a few times until someone leaves the full lobby

    Razoor I know what u mean. But I'm tell u that there's got to be more than a few ppl racing in 1644 lobby's. Everyone in my lobby bitching about it also it's not just me. Why can't cie mix it up every week so we can race new ppl and not the same ppl every week.

    No I got a bunch of friends in 1644 also and I can't see them and they can't change tracks also. And they have the same amount of ppl in there track.

    Mud digger u said they a few more servers I guess that's why we're spread out more than ever. ? What do u think ?

    CIE is working on running more severs to help with all the traffic from Turf Wars especially during the first 1st and 2nd hours.

    I understand that but there would be a lot of happy customers if they had more ppl to race. I'm not trying to be a pain in the rear but just seems worse this week. I was hoping after the droid release we'd have more ppl to race.

    Yea that's what I'm thinking too. I've been racing different people than normal. This thread: http://racingrivalsforum.ciegames.com/forum/check-engine-light/bug-reports/74223-always-in-same-rooms-with-same-players was already started on this topic. Has a little more info.

    This is basically a very delicate dance. Lets say there are 5 servers and each has 20% of the population. When those servers get close to full we have to bring another up, when we do this the total number of racers is now divided by 6 instead of 5 so each sever has..16% of the population. The more servers we bring up to make connection better the more rooms there are, but the less people there are in each room. Its a delicate dance

    Also if u are racing a 1644 cars that is very close to max for all d class so common sense would be to max the car out that's why u have less people I believe

    Common sense would tell you civic type r and Ford focus will kill any other d class car.

    This actually wasn't true.. I say wasn't because now with the new ratings it is (or seems to be) true. But back before I used to destroy the 44 lobby in a si. But now it's slow.

    The focus and ctr are in the next lobby up... So u shouldn't worry about them if ur in a dart or tc they do 9.7-9.8 civic is 9.9 so they aren't to be scared of
