Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.
However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.
On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.
In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.
Harvard Case on RR. Part 1 - How they effectively ruined a great business
Absolutely!! and it's gonna be an amazing thing if it gets accepted.
You know what. You messed up big time. Anytime any major update is supposed to be launched, it should be launched in a beta version initially and parallel with the current version. Interested people download it and provide feedback so final version can be improved. This is called UAT or User Acceptance Testing. But I doubt you thick head devs on there even know how software's are supposed to be made. I knew small developers are stupid but didn't know this stupid!! You don't just push updates on people and force them to deal with the bugs. They will kick your azz and leave to any other competitor. I am pretty sure this "quick response" is coming from the sudden drop is users and revenue that you encountered due to your stupid forced release
Edit:
Just completed investigating part 2 of my harvard case on Racing Rivals. Pretty interesting.

Soon to be Ex-Carbonated Community Manager
Sorry but this is how, i see it. You pride and arrogance, is slowly killing this game. It should have been reverted, not excuses or care packages given

You guys need a serious revamp or you are going down with the "great" devs and equally "great" customers
My question / implication was that if he's so smart, point me to the successful app on the app store that he runs. When he shows something of that caliber, it would justify / validate his comments.
I'm an admin huh? Last I checked, I'm a Channel Moderator - voluntarily. I didn't "azzlick" or anything to get that title. About a year ago Ryyst put out a post asking for volunteers. I applied, and was accepted. Simple as that. Me sticking my nose in wasn't to ass kiss anyone. it was simply to point out - if you've got such an expert opinion / critique on how someone is doing something, show how you've done it equally, or better, yourself.
