Over the course of the last five years, Racing Rivals has grown into one of the most hardcore racing games in the world. This loyal community has spent countless hours competing in millions of races in “winner take all” fashion – all in the name of Turf Wars and pink slips.

However, all good things must come to an end… After spending time evaluating Rivals and its future – we’ve decided that it’s time to move on. Simply put, the revenue generated from Racing Rivals unfortunately no longer covers the cost of operations. This was not an easy decision to make.

On March 31st, 2019 – Rivals will be racing off into the sunset, and will be permanently shut down. Current players have until this date to utilize any accumulated virtual currency. We’ll be offering some massive reductions in the cost of crates, installs and repairs in addition to a reduction on timers as you race your way into the history books. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

In closing, a resounding and sincere THANK YOU to our extremely driven fans for your loyalty and dedication over the years – we hope you’ve enjoyed playing Racing Rivals as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.

    So, therefore its not any exploit? Just main and alts refreshed until in same lobby?
    So, how were the other teams i read about were banned or whats the real srory behind it, lastly,
    Is having more than one account against their tos or rules?

    It's not an exploit per se, and yep - main and alts refreshed until in the same lobby.

    There was a team banned for it, supposedly. Bear in mind that happened back when Glu ran the show, and the reason given was because the team was supposedly self-crushing. Is it 100% accurate? I personally don't know.

    Is having more than one account against their TOS? Not that I'm aware of. It's not unheard of for a person to have a phone and a tablet - which could very easily translate into two seperate accounts.

    @MacDaddyJoe is scamming against rules and ToS ? No it's not. So in theory everyone can do it without interventions, bans and what not from the admins. This is all about morals and what's the right thing to do. Same goes for SC. If this practice continues we will arrive to a point were turf would become THE SC event. How can anyone compete with the sort of ridiculous points as seen during last turf ? Turf wars would become a place for SCrushers. The majority of the players will not accept that and would leave the game. Others which SC would get tired as well of SC and would leave the game too. The game will eventually die. I have said it before and will say it again. Try as one might there will always be loopholes to be exploited as long out would benefit those who can make money out of the game. Try to limit abuse by trying to control the aim of these abusers...black market. The only thing the Game's top people can do is by making turf cars available for Joe Public. Either you get it for free by turfing or else pay for it by gems. If such cars are available in- game black market will not be eradicated but it would be confined and controlled so to speak. SC as seen last week would automatically cease. It won't be worth it going into all the hassle to acquire cars for crushing purposes.

    So whos fault is it now so to speak? The ones self crushing week in week out or the ones (carbon dioxide) not doing anything to save whats left of this game?

    Just like i told a fellow racer a day or so ago,

    Money talks, bůllshït walks.

    Not saying i am disagreeing with what you said, but seriously, it was there in plain sight all along and they did noting.

    To be honest, i miss the cie days, compared to what we have now, remember this game hit the fan when they came out with 6.oh my god.

    @MacDaddyJoe I think that they do not have the balls to act. They are afraid that if such measures are taken old racers who have a name in the game will simply walk out. Black market generates indirect revenue to the game hence profit. Exploiters and abusers sell what ever they can make money on. These racers love playing the game too and still buy thousands of gems by using money generated from their car sales. It's a vicious circle. I know of a couple of guys who do not play the game. They just trade and sell cars to make money - real money.

    Now I'm scared. If a bunch of rich brats want to self crush some cars to get t5 so they can sell the wrapped wheeled turf car to some other rich brats, who really cares in the long run? The unknown solution threatens to run off more players than the problem they are trying to solve. If it involves any restriction of the team aspect of turf, that will be the end of it's worth to me.

    Well i guess we gotta wait and see what executive decision or actions are done in the near future. Until then my actual time and effort i would spend into playing this game is at an complete pause.
