Game crashes at same place during tutorial

I recently downloaded the game and completed the first stage. After defeating Davy Jones and opening the chest, I am directed towards the current event (Diamond In The Rough). When I try to enter the battle the game goes to a loading screen and then crashes. Because it is still in tutorial mode, the game will not let me click anywhere else. I've tried uninstalling, updating my iOS and signing out of Game Center. Even clearing all the data and playing again until the same point. Is there anything I can do to fix it?
