No new roles being given?

I haven't been getting calls from Max offering me a bunch of different roles for awhile, like since level 15. It's frustrating because I only have quests to do, but no projects that I can choose. It makes it impossible to complete quests like the one where you're supposed to do 3 horror movies within a week. Anyone else have the same problem or suggestions?

Hi JuJubean27 my name is Jo I would like to help if I can. 1st is Max offering any jobs at all and 2nd are you able to complete those jobs?

I'm having the same issue on my iPad version. My my girl is married & at Level 19. I don't want to start over simply because Max or Arnie aren't calling at all. Charlene has also disappeared. I've got about 5 tasks to meet, with no calls or a chance to complete them.
