Exactly the same thing happened to me & I'm married. Funnily enough I just kept trying & eventually it worked. I closed the app down completely on the iphone (double click on the home button, a panel of apps will appear at the bottom of the screen, click the red (-) on the top left corner of the app)

If neither one of those work for you try selecting your spouse for date at a dating destination & not clicking the white speech bubble & leave the building. Go back in a minute after you left

Also Vegas might be the place to date. It's the only location that works for me now
