Problem With Matchups

Is anyone else noticing that prime matchups don't seem to be accurate? For instance, when I match against someone, it shows that I outrank them by 15k-20k, but if I pull up their profile after the match, they are the same team strength as me or higher.

Makes me wonder if that's why all of us are losing so frequently. Problems with the matchup algorithm? Is it pulling outdated information?
