Prime XP is hard to come by, and hard not to use when you get it, but it will eventually be a prize for Walk Off Hero. I know it's very easy to use your Prime XP but I would suggest saving enough Prime XP, gold and evo to bring your new player to the level you are in.
For example:
I'm Gold so I need to save enough Prime XP to bring him to Gold 1.
That way, your multi cycles will be able to cap your new prize for Walk Off Hero.
Think about how frustrating it will be to get your shiny new Prime Player and only be able to get him to Silver 2 where you can cap him if you save the right way.
