How is defensive play so fast? If I am on offense, I play in the bottom of the inning. But to my opponent, it looks like I don't play at all because it takes 2 seconds.

Each half of the inning should take about the same amount of time. Open up a ticket, it might be a technical issue. If it isn't the game, look in the game settings on your phone. Below the VIP activation button and the "boxes = 0" button, there should be a "hitting speed" button. Turn that to Max Power. I think my innings last a total of about six seconds with those settings.
