new update duplicates

I read a post earlier which showed a player being moved up a tier from gaining a duplicate.  Will this move a player to g1 from s10 if you are only silver tiered??

I don't see why it would, pretty sure you can only level up to cap in your tier. Would be cool to see a diamond 10 player turn into charcoal 1 or something, though 🤔

@bayoubengal if you are silver tiered then it would take the player from B10 to S1.

I doubt that. They only mentioned jumping from b/s/g/p 10 to the next s/g/p/d 1.
It would be great though if new players started in you tier at level 1.

  Scherzer looks like he leveled a tier.  So what I am asking is are they going to stay capped or do you have to be gold to go from silver 10 to gold 1???

@bayoubengal oohhh, that's because I'm diamond. I was planning on leaving scherzer at Plat 10, but decided to buy another box in hopes of pulling him just to see if we still get duplicate XP. So, they will just cap at whatever tier you're in.

@bayoubengal if you are silver and have a player capped at silver then a duplicate player would leave him at S10 and just give you the duplicate XP as you cannot level any player past your own tier. Now if you are gold and have a capped player in silver then a duplicate pull will bring him to G1.
