E collection tokens

I’ve gone thru quite a few seasons and each time earned some E tokens.. they have changes the rewards in the season mode and the E tokens are not there anymore, leading me to believe they are gone from the game. What happened to the ones I earned and what are they for??

Last year we could use them for shots at a semi-decent Prime Player. I think you’re right, they’re useless this year.
