Unless things change dramatically in HOF with respect to the mix of lefty/righty pitchers, I'm not that excited about Ralph. The majority of pitchers are righty so his skill vs lefties is not ideal. Different story of course if his second skill was late innings or something more versatile. Also my ATG Mantle was bumped up to 495 so he'll do just fine as a lefty killer for those limited situations. Now that I've said this I'm waiting to pull him tomorrow from CvC...

Devalued the sig primes immensely.  They are no longer as special as they were....if not Nats or Stros they are baseline ordinary now as are half the legends I have.

Agree I feel like the bump should have happened after World Series so for just a moment those sigs could have shined. Then bump to 510 so they aren’t so devalued. Idk not sure they think about things sometimes or care for that matter. 😕

With the keepers being bumped so small earlier this year, I’ve always felt like the increases would feel like the warped wall in American Ninja Warrior. Having a 30 point jump feels like we are getting to the stupid crazy part of the wall. It’s easy to keep up going from 340-350-360 BXP players early, but now........

Somebody please correct my timeline, but it feels like Hof rewarded 450 legends for 2 months, 470 legends for 2 weeks, and this past Monday was the first 490 Legend. 2 days after the first 490 Legend in Hof, a 520 Legend was released in a box.. it would make more sense if 520 was the baseline for all time greats right now, I guess, but the uptick seems a little rushed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

According to keepers percentages, 550max is still the ceiling.  Meaning we have 5 months to baby step the last 30 ticks.  Means we’ll get bored and switch to pornhub sometime in January......

Wouldn’t be surprised if we see 600 overall or even higher this year as the maximum at this rate, but keepers max out at 550 or wherever.

Yeah,I would think this year's best players will have to be better than keepers

Keepers have never kept up with the highest rated players in the game it seems this year. They have always been a step behind. Just like right now with 550’s being 495 and the new ceiling being 520.

What were they just at?  Top end was 490 and keepers true max 550s were at 460 before the bump right?  Figure a similar ratio, maybe 590 to keeper 550.

Right now keepers are at 90% of their true max. If the current 520 is 90% of what we should expect, that comes out to 577. So I’d expect a cap somewhere around 575.

But my logic sometimes doesn’t make sense so......

The pitcher ones are still just fine if you care about things like filling out your team, team strengh, eye candy, etc.  But yeah the hitter ones are already behind the curve as with keepers.  Espcially since the skills on most of the bats werent the most ideal to be begin with.

Usually the first week or so after the boost they hold up ok but they are already significantly behind (490-520)

When the year started, I expected the jump to 600 at year's end because keepers would top out at 550. It never made sense that we'd be allowed to ride the very best bats from the prior year all the way through this year's game. At the time, I felt that that keepers were introduced in some part, so that there would be a smoother transition from the end of '18(where WoH was absolute cake) to '19 where we'd struggle with single boosted bronze/silver bats.

I'm surprised that there was a considerable boost yesterday, but I guess it's full steam ahead. '19 has transitioned towards legends and the pace of the game no longer makes keepers an elite investment. However, those that invested early in keepers have been rewarded on multiple levels. While it's true that they were never top tier, their true value was their ability to keep your lineup competitive without having to continuously chase. Basically, if you had nice keepers, higher end players were a luxury rather than a necessity.

@DFBB Yes, I hear you. It depends on how you play, too. I found my blue xp to be better spent on POTW / POTM. Never had issues cycling any of the WOH permutations anyway, so no reason for me to spend millions of xp on keepers. I took keepers to gold and after finding out ATG Mantle had a less than 50/50 success rate against Lester at 4.10 (at the time) it was decided at that point that I would not invest any further in them. After ditching them when I went diamond I also did not miss the annoyance of switching them in and out just for WOH.

^^ To me, I said the same thing to myself about keepers and their cost to level: they just seemed like a luxury rather than a necessity.

Guys, I keep making this point:
Not everybody has a 520 at this point. Hell, probably most people don't even have a 490 yet. So for the majority of them, if the keeper is capped at whatever level their team is, the keepers are top players right now.
Now, if you have this new 520 (and also 520 Robinson from last week) plus 2-3 of the 490 legends then yeah, keepers not necessarily a big deal, but I suspect most people are not there yet. And they won't be for at least a few weeks.

You hit it on the nose. It really all depends on your style of play. For most of the year, I only played Mondays/Weds and as a result, I had a ridiculous excess of bxp. When I first went diamond, I was making well over a million bxp per week so it made sense for my style of play.

Yea I have a clubmate with his D10 Mantle 16/16 skills lose twice to Corbin yesterday before he had to boost to beat him.   For whatever reason Mantle has never felt 100% comfortable for me this year despite the advantage he should have at times.  Currently mine is D10 and 12/12 and I dont plan on investing in him further

I definitely agree that context should be taken into consideration. I want to say that if I was starting from scratch, I wouldn't invest in keepers. However, there really isn't much to spend bxp on. I guess, from that perspective, it's still a good value.  :#
