Not sure if this is supposed to be a preview of the weekend box, but if it is, then they picked a good weekend to institute the cool down timer because I couldn’t care less about anyone in that box.
My understanding is that while leadoff shows as being active, @DFBB switched his custom legend from double late to double leadoff, and promptly experienced a significant regression in performance. This led him to believe that leadoff is not actually active in WOH.
Wait, why would leadoff not work in WOH? I thought it was active so long as the player was in your lineup as a leadoff hitter.
If that’s not true, then yeah, Damon is useless.
I had a rather rough experience with leadoff. It will display it as active, but personally, I have zero faith in it. However, it appears to work as intended in all other modes. If damon was vs rhp/leadoff, I'd be all over him(i love cvc). As is, I'll save my lxp even if he comes my way.
I don’t care what the box theme is. I just want it to have a max 520 lefty (or switch hitter) with 2 skills from the following list: vs. RHP, Late, WOH. Is that honestly too much to ask?
I hate RISP personally, and given @DFBB’s thoughts on leadoff, Damon will be worthless for any late WOH rounds. Hard pass.
I hadn’t seen that from Alex......that would change my opinion.
Well......for my money Damon is awesome. Not ideal WOH skills but can definitely play a part. All other modes he’s lit. Not sure why DFBB doesn’t like him in WOH.....he was lit every at bat with the leadoff skill.
What a surprise.......a disagree. C’mon......what exactly is the objection? If it’s me I’m ok with that but trying to have a serious discussion here about the merits of leadoff skill ......annoying when the kids are running around with disagrees distracting from grown ups talking.

But he looks so good on my inactive roster next my other Blyleven, Nolan Ryan, Hershiser, Reuss, etc.
