Pujols can be ok for HR battles. It just feel like they are giving 355 players to everyone and someone that started last week can have a decent team.

That's exactly it. The red carpet has been rolled out to entice new diamond players and make current ones more competitive.

And the same will likely happen shortly after Legends drop, and again with ATGs.  You could probably take a month, or more, off now, then catch up fairly quickly when you come back.  That is sort of what happened to me in the '19 version.
