Illegal device state?

at a loss as to why, but I can't get in. It's the same Samsung S9 device I've been using for the last couple years and literally nothing has changed with it. It's not jailbroken or anything like that, I'm not tech savvy enough to even have the first clue as to how to even do that. Tried restarting several times but still get this message. I have no idea why. I'm not even loading the game through an APK, just the usual directly from Play Store.
